Fortnite OG : Return of the Chapter 1 MAP

Fortnite fans have been wanting it for a long time, and now it’s here: the Chapter 1 map is back. In the new Fortnite OG, or Chapter 4 Season 5, players will spend a month on the Chapter 1 map with big changes happening every week.

This special season brings back the Chapter 1 Map, but it won’t stay for long. Every week for the next month, there will be updates without needing to download anything. The island will transform week by week.

On November 9, the island will look like it did in Chapter 1 Season 6. Then, the following week, it’ll combine Seasons 7 and 8 from that earlier chapter. Finally, in the last week, the island will be similar to what players experienced in Chapter 1 Seasons 9 and 10.

However, talking about the map changes on the launch day is a bit tricky because some changes will be brief and will be replaced with very different features very soon.

One big change is the number of places on the map. The Chapter 1 map had 18 places across two areas, grass, and desert. These places are back now, such as Tilted Towers, Greasy Grove, and Retail Row.

As the season progresses, new places and areas will arrive, changing the island faster than ever before in the game. For example, there will be a snow area in Week 3 (November 16 update) and Jetpacks for travel in Week 4 (November 23).

For players who don’t build in the game, the island has been adjusted a bit. There are now ascenders and ziplines to help players move around without building, which is important as some parts of the map would be unreachable without building.

The island mostly looks the same as players might remember, but Epic has made some changes to fit Fortnite’s modern style, like keeping sprinting, sliding, and mantling.

If you dive into Fortnite OG today, get ready for fast and frequent changes in the map, weapons, and loot pool.
